If you have noticed anything about the destinations we travel to, you will know that we are always chasing the sun, finding the best beaches and heading to the best gay events.
It should come as no surprise that our suitcases have ended up well stocked with all of our favourite and the most popular gay underwear brands and gay swimwear brands because most of the time that’s all we seem to wear!
We also appreciate the fact that these gay underwear and swimwear brands actually exist – we don’t think you will have had these sort of options 20 years ago!
Whilst all of these gay underwear labels can be worn by everyone and everyone (not exclusively gay), it is clear that they are appealing to the gay male market in ways that most high street retailers never could!
If you are looking for more than just gay mens underwear/gay mens swimwear, check out these gay clothing brands for full outfit inspiration.
As ever, it is always good to support gay owned or gay friendly businesses so if you needed an excuse to treat yourself, now you have one!
Gay Underwear and Gay Swimwear Brands
Let’s get started with some of the best underwear for gay men and best gay swimsuits…..
This is one of our favourite gay underwear brands which you will see all over our Instagram account (@theglobetrotterguys). The company is based out of Spain and does some of the best gay swimwear and gay underwear around.
They have a lot of fun and vibrant options which really make you stand out at a pool party or at the beach. If you like your gay beaches check out our gay beach guides around the world.
They have similar designs for both swimwear and underwear and have more recently added a fetish range. For more head to addicted.es.
ES Collection and Addicted are sister companies. ES tends to provide cleaner, simple, premium styles of gay underwear and swimwear.
Both ES Collection and Addicted are manufactured in Spain to keep quality high (which we can attest to!). As a result, prices are higher than some other gay brands listed below but you get what you pay for.
JJ Malibu is another brand you will see all over our Instagram page. They have clothing for every gay event and party you can think of with sections on their website dedicated to themes such as ‘White Party’ and ‘Military’.
JJ Malibu has a lot of fun options in the form of slogan crop tops (we have the GAY AF one) as well as some gay underwear options that really make an impression.
They are also very affordable compared to some of the more premium brands. Go to JJ Malibu for more..
Andrew Christian was founded in 2001 and is based in California. It is one of the big names when it comes to gay underwear and swimwear and most recently was one of the main sponsors for the Xlsior Mykonos Festival (which you can read about here).
We have to say that their trophy boy collection for those that need extra space really stands out!
See their range here.
This was the first gay mens underwear brand that we came across in our late teens and were very excited to receive!
aussieBum was founded in 2001 and obviously is based in Australia. This is another high quality brand with everything from sports ranges to fun ones, and some naughtier styles too.
Check out more here.
Barcode Berlin is predominantly a fetish brand but has expanded its range to also include some cool swimwear options and some comical crop tops with slogans like ‘Cheap and easy’ and ‘Boy is a bottom’.
For us, the tight black short shorts they sell are our favourite (see below). Check out their website for more.
The first thing we think about when it comes to PUMP! is the models. You need to check them out.
PUMP! sell everything from underwear, swimwear, tanks, caps and socks. This gay underwear brand stands out to us because of the fit, they are very flattering.
See what they have to offer here.
Garcon Model are about performance, comfort, sustainable practises (big tick from us) and bringing some high-end fashion to men’s underwear. We really like the style and fit of the ‘graffiti’ swimwear we are wearing below.
They have also started bringing out additional accessories with some stand out elasticated shoulder harnesses that you can not miss. See more on their website.
Bad Butt gay underwear and swimwear is new to the list after we came across this brand recently on Instagram.
With plenty to choose from in terms of underwear, swimwear and gymwear, Bad Butt quite literally have got your butt covered (unless you get a jockstrap!).
See more at badbutt.com
If you want to keep things a bit simpler and classic then check out some of the styles from 2(x)ist. They also released some cool pride range styles last year which we have.
Take a look at their jocks and thongs here.
Marco Marco is designed and made in Los Angeles. The collection features bright color accents and geometric patterns that are fun, stylish and sexy. Available in briefs, trunks, jock straps, swim briefs, harnesses, leggings, and singlets.
We are constantly complaining that we need bigger suitcases and maybe you can now see why. Let us know what other gay underwear brands and gay swimwear brands we should be looking at and we can add them to our list!
