Who are we?
We have been together for just over 11 years and got married in 2017. Throughout those 11 years we have shared a strong passion for travel and always saved as much as we can to fund our travel addiction
Sion grew up in North Wales before moving to Manchester to do a Masters in Physics. After his degree he worked at Ernst & Young for 5.5 years becoming a Chartered Accountant. For the first 4 years he worked in business tax, which ultimately he didn’t enjoy. He then came across an internal opportunity to run programmes for the EY Foundation, a charity working with disadvantaged young people, and had the most enjoyable 18 months of his career to date. The next chapter is The Globetrotter Guys and travelling the world!
Ben grew up in Yorkshire before living in Spain for a year (becoming fluent in Spanish!). He returned to the UK when he was 18 and started a 10 year career in travel. He worked for Going Places, Thomas Cook and for the last 5 years worked at STA Travel managing a number of different stores across the North West. Now he will be doing the travelling instead of selling it!
As of 2017, we have visited over 25 countries and have a long list of new countries to visit over the next couple of years.
Our most significant travelling adventure, where we gained the so called ‘travelling bug’, was back in 2011 where we went away for 9 months. Read about it here!
It can be hard enough to live day to day life as an LGBT person let alone go out of your comfort zone and travel!
We want to try and break down some of these barriers and make travel for LGBT people easier.
We are doing this through sharing our own experiences, producing LGBT guides to destinations and interviewing people from all around the world to find out what its really like to be LGBT in their countries.
We hope to inspire, educate, promote safety and get more people travelling!
So what is coming up?
As a gay couple, we are interested in the different attitudes across the world when it comes to LGBT rights and treatment. There is so many places where LGBT rights are celebrated and so many places where it is the complete opposite. During our travels we want to document and showcase all the celebrations of LGBT life across the world because quite simply, these events drive positive change and that is something we want to be a part of and share.
We will also be showcasing the best adventures in each location, the best accommodation and of course, the best food! We have high standards so you should expect good things being shared!
Our current plan has many exciting locations. We will start in New York before heading onto Central America, South America, Europe, North America, Canada and then New Zealand…….that’s the plan but who knows where we will end up.

Have a great day.
