5 Best Gay Resorts in Fort Lauderdale (Updated 2026)

If you are looking for the best gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale, this guide will share all of the existing gay resorts updated for 2026.

Fort Lauderdale is one of the most gay friendly places in Florida so it is perhaps no surprise that it offers many gay resorts to choose from, most of which are gay male only resorts and clothing optional resorts.

The Best Gay Resorts in Fort Lauderdale – Where to stay?

There are 5 main gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale to choose from. There used to be more, but 4 of them transformed into one huge gay resort!

These gay resorts are spread across Fort Lauderdale, with one close to the beach and the rest located between the beach and Wilton Manors (a big gay hub), which is where you will undoubtedly end up for a gay night out (see the best gay bars in Wilton Manors and also the best gay resorts in Wilton Manors)!

This is the most up to date list for 2026. Enjoy!

The Grand Resort and Spa – The Biggest Gay Resort in Fort Lauderdale

best gay resorts in fort lauderdale

The Grand Resort and Spa is the largest gay resort in Fort Lauderdale and closest to the beach (one block away). In fact, this was previously 4 individual gay hotels that merged together into one – bear in mind some guides still list those 4 hotels individually, it is now all one big complex under the name ‘The Grand Resort & Spa’.

This gay resort in Fort Lauderdale is made up of: Villa Venice, Worthington, The Grand Resort and Alcazar (the names of the previous 4 gay hotels).

I have stayed here twice and love that you have different options for places to relax, Worthington is typically the busiest but Villa Venice is my favorite. The majority of the resort is also clothing optional.

There are 3 different pools (one at Worthington, Alcazar and Villa Venice) and 3 jacuzzis across the properties. You will also find the spa in the grand courtyard, the gym in Alcazar and a cafe at The Grand Resort serving breakfast each morning and food throughout the day.

Room wise, you have a lot of different options, from newly renovated hotel style rooms, to studios and suites with kitchenettes so you can settle in and feel at home.

The resort also hosts parties and events during the summer with day passes available. These look a lot of fun.

Cabanas Guesthouse & Spa – Popular Gay Resort in Fort Lauderdale

Cabanas is a clothing optional, award winning, waterfront (waterways, not ocean), gay men’s resort in Fort Lauderdale.

The resort has two heated pools, one for a more social and party vibe, and a second for a more chilled vibe. I love that they have different spaces depending on what you are looking for. The waterfront lounging area and gardens also sounds like an ideal place to chill.

You will of course, also find a jacuzzi on site, a Tiki Bar and if you deserve a treat, a mens spa.

A very nice touch that I like is that they are part of the Wilton Manors circuit, a bus that runs and takes you from the resort to various stops around Wilton Manors (you need to get the ride circuit app and it is $2 a ride).

If you want to just check out the property, they also offer day passes.

Pineapple Point Guest House – The Luxury Gay Resort in Fort Lauderdale

Pineapple Point is a luxury gay men’s resort in Fort Lauderdale, spread across 6 buildings on 2 acres of land, this is one of the larger gay resorts in the area. I’ve heard goof things about this place from local friends in Fort Lauderdale.

I love that they have thought of all the small touches here, with complimentary suntan lotions, beach chairs, umbrellas & towels, and bikes provided.

On resort, you will also find clothing optional pool areas, shaded hammocks, a gym, lap pool, two jacuzzis, massage studios and sun decks.

Start your day with a complimentary breakfast and on certain Saturdays, enjoy a poolside BBQ. Invite your friends along as day passes are also available for this gay resort.

The Big Coconut Guesthouse Gay Men’s Resort – Great for Location!

best gay resorts in fort lauderdale

The Big Coconut Guesthouse is really well located in Fort Lauderdale. In one direction you are a short drive/uber from the gay nightlife in Wilton Manors, in the other direction you are a short drive/uber to Sebastian Street gay beach – and across the road you will find the Stonewall National Museum and World AIDS Museum and Education centre, two spots I highly recommend you visit and support.

Of course, like all the other gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale, this is also clothing optional so go and get that all over tan!

The Big Coconut is a guesthouse so a smaller resort compared to the others. They also have the Little Coconut across the road with more room options.

The reviews are nothing but positive, with big shout outs for the staff and owners being incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you want a cute and friendly gay resort in Fort Lauderdale, this is the one for you.

Free continental breakfast is served every morning and you also can get day passes if you would like to check the place out, or attend one of their themed parties such as their foam party.

This is the most up to date list of gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale, there are more in gay resorts in Wilton Manors you should also check out! My personal favorite is The Grand Resort and Spa as I love the size and its proximity to the beach.
